Two Scouts from 1st Claremont, D Cotton and N Ross, attended the 1933 Jamboree in Gödöllõ, Hungary. 1st Claremont won the Gordon Shield for the first time in 1934, with John Clarke in the team, who remained with 1st Claremont for 50 years! The Cub Pack won the Edward Shield and celebrated its 21st birthday.
“Winning smiles. – A happy group of Wolf Cubs of the 1st Claremont Troop, who won the Edwards Efficiency Shield this month.” October 1931“To celebrate their 21st birthday the 1st Claremont Wolf Cub Pack, who were the first to be formed in South Africa, entertained all the Wolf Cubs of the Claremont and Rondebosch districts on Saturday. In the photograph District Cubmaster C. Fudge, who was a member of the original pack in 1914, is seen distributing gas-filled balloons, 21 of which were liberated by the boys.” 17 June 1935
