On Saturday 17 October, Meerkat Den Scouters and Assistant Den Scouters gathered at the V&A Waterfront for Meerkat Amaze, an exciting Amazing Race-style event organised by Mandy Lochner from 1st Durbanville.
The fun began well before race day, with participants given the opportunity to solve riddles during the preceding week to earn valuable advantages for the big event.
From 1st Claremont, Den Scouter Emily Gammon and Assistant Den Scouter Kirsty Gilmour joined in the action, kicking off their adventure at Battery Park before racing their way across the Waterfront. Along the way, teams tackled a variety of challenges, put their problem-solving skills to the test and enjoyed plenty of laughter and friendly competition.
The adventure culminated in a grand finale back at Battery Park, bringing an exciting day to a close. A fantastic opportunity for Scouters to connect, work together and experience a little of the fun and adventure they so often create for their Meerkats!
A big thank you to Mandy Lochner for organising such a memorable event!
