Twice a year, our scout group comes together for a work party—a day dedicated to sprucing up and improving our troop hall. This year’s event was no exception, with meerkats, cubs, scouts, scouters and parents rolling up their sleeves to tackle a range of essential projects.
The Scouters’ Den received a significant makeover as we pulled up old, worn carpets to prepare the space for future renovations. Meanwhile, the basement gained some much-needed storage solutions with sturdy new shelves put together and drilled into the wall by our team. These will help us organize our gear more effectively for activities and adventures ahead.
On the stage, a monumental cleaning effort brought it back to its former glory. Dust, clutter, and long-forgotten items were cleared away, creating a fresh and functional space for upcoming events and performances.

This work party was not only about hard labor—it was also a wonderful opportunity for team building, problem-solving, and fostering a sense of pride in our shared space. By the end of the day, our troop hall looked revitalized, and everyone left with a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie.
A big thank you to all who participated in this year’s work party. Your dedication ensures our troop hall remains a welcoming and inspiring place for scouts to gather, learn, and grow. We’re already looking forward to next year’s projects!
