Cub Camp Reflection

This year for cub camp we went with 4th Claremont to Kogelberg farm hostel in Elgin. Senior Cubs went for 2 nights, and the junior cubs joined us for one night. Our theme was ‘Around the world in 80 days’ where we went from Cape Town to India to China to Mexico to London and back home. In each country we had a traditional meal or snack, from yummy South African stew to a delicious stir fry from China. In the morning, we had to do P.T., also known as physical torture, where we had to do squats to the song ‘Bring Sally up’. In the hot afternoon we had a slip ‘n slide to cool us off, and when it got dark we had a campfire with songs and skits. At the end of camp everyone went home with a brain full of facts from each country, which our scouts had told us. My highlight was definitely the campfire because Jenny and I sung the ‘zombie song’. Camp was very fun and I can’t wait for next year, even though I’ll be a scout.
