We went to Milnerton Beach on the 18th of March 2023. We did 5 ½ hours of community service, from 08:00 to 13:30.
In Milnerton we had to cross the lagoon mouth to get to the other side where all the trash was. In the morning it was very shallow and we could easily cross it. But in the afternoon it started to get deeper.
We found around 16 shoes (not all in pairs) and at the end we had collected 14 bags of trash.
At the end we had to cross the lagoon mouth with the trash bags, waist-high in water.
All in all it was a fun experience and we were glad to be able to help keep the beach clean.
