Cubs Cycling at Koeberg Nature Reserve

On Sunday 16th February some Cubs went on a ride. Matthew D, Juliet, Kupa, Samuel and myself joined with our Dads. It was right next to Koeberg power station. When we first started to ride it was very hot. We cycled on a road first then on gravel.

We saw springbok right at the start, then a zebra and two eland. Then we saw some tortoises and a zebra was right by us. Right down on the field there were more springbok.

Then we started to ride on a more bumpy tar road. We had quite a long ride. Matthew D rode on ahead of us and stopped at the end. My Dad rode on to get to him but then Matthew’s Dad beat him there.

The whole ride was 9.7 kilometres and we were 2 km from the beach when we turned back to go to the start.

I really enjoyed the ride.
